Recommended to join by a colleague

I was recommended to join by a colleague and friend of mine in the 1990s.  After short experience, it was natural to include my wife and son too.

2.  What were you hoping to achieve by joining, and what challenges were you facing at the time?

The member benefits made financial sense for all members of my family.  I like the principle of the mutual support.

3.  How has your experience been with the Society?

It is almost 30 years now and it has been a thoroughly pleasant experience.  Luckily, we have only made claims for dental and optical work, but the availability of support in more serious situations (as affected my colleague some years after I joined) has been very reassuring.  All my contact with the Society has been very helpful, efficient and pleasant too. 

4.  Which benefit or aspect of being a member do you value the most?

Luckily, there have been no serious events.  However, cumulatively, the dental and optical grants have been of significant benefit.

5.  Would you recommend others to join Anglo-Saxons Friendly Society? Why?

Yes.  Benefits are worthwhile in the short term, but even better in the long term, with fixed subscription rates etc.

6.  Are the benefits and service the Society offers good value for money?

Benefits are good value for money, especially in the long term.
